Stretched presents a full-scale abstraction of the artist’s body, imagined as a flayed and tanned hide. The quilted surface, bound tightly to a wooden frame with rope and grommets, evokes both muscle and membrane. Subtle embroidered markings trace the locations of tattoos, turning personal history into quiet topography. The work operates as both record and surrogate body—contained, tense, and insistently present.
